Our vision statement

CBRmade: for a more creative capital

Our mission

CBRmade shines a proud spotlight on high-quality products carefully handcrafted by  local artists and makers from the Canberra region.

We are passionate about bringing local businesses together with customers through community events like our curated makers markets in Canberra.

Importantly, CBRmade will work with kindness and inclusion to achieve these goals.

The CBRmade team

CBRmade, pronounced C-B-R-made, is owned and run by Canberra locals Bec and Brendan O’Brien with the help of an amazing community.

They are dedicated to raising the profile of Canberra’s talent and draw on the community’s neverending willingness, enthusiasm, and creativity to deliver successful market events.

Once her public service lanyard comes off, Bec is all about the glitz, making jewellery that glitters as though it were gold at  Glitterbomb Jewels.

Bec inherited Canberra’s local Etsy team in 2019, revamping it into CBRmade. She officially brought Brendan into the fold as the Sales and Logistics Manager in 2020.

CBRmade recognises that Canberra’s creative community wouldn’t be what it is today without the hard work of those who’ve come before. We thank them and look forward to building on their strong foundations.
